TaWumm! Workshops
On 06.05.2023 | At the KinderKulturParcours
This year we are once again guests at the KinderKulturParcours in the MuseumsQuartier. On Saturday, 6 May, we will take you and your children and grandchildren into the world of musical theatre in our free workshops on the family opera Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen!
Our workshops at the KinderKulturParcours:
11 AM – 5 PM
TaWow – Ab in die Maske!
approx. 20 minutes
Maske MusikTheater an der Wien (Hofstallungen)
With skin and hair, we discover the magical world of theatre make-up at the MusikTheater an der Wien and become little monsters ourselves, just like in the family opera Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen. From made-up horns and colourful fur on the face to painted teeth, anything is possible during a visit to the mask department. The main thing is that it's wild, cheeky & monstrous.
Admission only with counting card - remaining tickets on site
counting card for 1 child (incl. 1 accompanying person)
max. 2 tickets per booking adult
1:00 – 1:45 PM | 3:00 – 3:45 PM
TaWhoop - Sing & Swing!
approx. 45 minutes
VideoLounge (Halle E | Lower Level)
It squeaks, it whistles and it dances lightly - in the workshop "TaWhoop - Sing & Swing!" we become the monsters from the family opera Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen with our voices and body percussion. Maybe we will almost become sounding, loving or even angry monsters ourselves? A colourful workshop - with lots of movement, fun and above all imagination.

with Kathi Adamcyk (singing) and Fabian Tobias Huster (choreography and movement)

mumok Atelier
When wild children, inspired by the sounds of the family opera Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen and many colours conquer the mumok, things get extremely creative! What does an angry monster, a funny monster or a really sad monster sound like? What kind of wild little guy is inside? And what does it look like when you put your monster on paper yourself? Guided by musicians and art educators, young & all discover the world of the wild guys with music and visual art - and maybe even in one or the other work of art in the museum!
