TaWumm! Club Night is the new club for young people run by the MusikTheater an der Wien: Are you addicted to the magic of the theatre? Do you want to experience opera from a different angle for a change? Can you sing operatic arias off by heart, but your friends just shake their heads in wonder? Or have you never been to the theatre but want to find out more about it? Then you’ve come to the right place!
Whatever background you have, come along and be part of TaWumm! Club Night! We watch rehearsals and performances in Hall E and the Kammeroper together, meet the people who perform on stage and backstage, can try our hand at artistic or creative work ourselves, and above all have a great time! Previous knowledge or experience is not necessary. Just be open, honest and critical – that’s what we want.

6 pm: Talk and discussion: What is the play María de Buenos Aires about?
Let dramaturge Christian Schröder tell you about the play María de Buenos Aires, gain valuable insights into the rehearsal work, the concept of the play and how it is reinterpreted by the band folksmilch. Perhaps one of the artists will also drop by.
7 pm: Visit to the dress rehearsal of María de Buenos Aires (composer: Piazzolla); duration of the piece: 2 hours

Kick-off and acting workshop with Fabian Tobias Huster
Immerse yourself in the world of Roméo et Juliette! Together with Fabian Tobias Huster you will improvise, slip into different roles and create interesting scenes. Let's recreate Romeo and Juliet in our own way!

It's all about movement and dance! Take part in presence exercises, dance around the room and try out interesting choreographies. Strength training included!
