Dress rehearsal visit & workshops for schools
On 20.03.2023 | DER FREISCHÜTZ - What the eyes see, does the heart believe? Or does it not?
At the end of March, the opera classic Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber transports us to romantic worlds, with hunter's chorus and maiden's wreath, forest and wolf's glen, as well as dark forces and white roses that protect against evil. But this time the audience takes on a different perspective: that of young Agathe.
In his production, Hungarian director David Marton invites us into historical spaces and, with the help of film, addresses the dissolving boundaries between the inner and outer worlds, between good and evil, between seeing and believing.
Upper school students have the opportunity to attend the dress rehearsal before the premiere and immerse themselves in the world of Der Freischütz. In preparation for the play, we are happy to visit your school to prepare the students for the play in a workshop.
