The laudatory speech was given by Nikolaus Habjan & Charlotte, who noted: 265 different operas and oratorios by 84 composers is the balance of Geyer's directorship in numbers: "He always sought new paths - and they were not well-trodden paths!". The presenters Christoph Wagner Trenkwitz and Georg Wacks, who sang a Roland yodel, led through the ceremony with charm and wit.
