Seating map

With the best seat booking at PRICE CATEGORIES, the best adjacent seats are automatically selected for you after you have entered the number of tickets in the desired category and clicked on the "Add to Basket" button.

As an alternative to "automatic best seat booking", we offer you an interactive SEAT MAP for ticket booking:

1. If you want to select several adjacent seats in the SEAT MAP with one click, first adjust the "Number of Tickets" to the right of the seating plan using the drop-down menu (indicated by "+-").
2. Click on the desired seat in the desired seating area. Seats that cannot be booked are shown as a grey dot.
3. After selecting the desired seats, these are displayed to the right of the seating plan under "Selected Seats". Here you can use the drop-down menu (labelled "˅") to select a discount that applies to you for the respective performance.
4. Then click on the "Add to Shopping Basket" button and complete your purchase.

Buyer and credit card holder must be the same person! We reserve the right to refuse orders without further notice if credit card information does not match the buyer´s identity. The amount will be refunded automatically and the reservation expires.

E-TICKET

If you choose the e-ticket delivery method, you will receive your tickets attached to your booking confirmation as a print@home ticket (PDF file) and as a wallet file. Please do not forget to save ALL print@home tickets on your smartphone or import the wallet file on your smartphone to present them at the event. You can also find your print@home tickets and the wallet file (duplicates) in your personal login area (‘My account’) under ‘View purchasing data / print@home’.

Further information on the print@home ticket:

The barcode on your print@home ticket, which can only be used once, is cancelled electronically at the event venue. Admission to the event is always on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that the print@home ticket that is accepted first with its unique identification is the valid one. Subsequent tickets with the same identification are automatically cancelled when the first ticket is admitted.

Please keep your print@home ticket in a safe place and do not pass it on to third parties. Please also ensure that the barcode is clearly legible by saving the PDF and not taking a photo of the print@home ticket. This will avoid delays in access control.

If you want to print out the ticket, the ‘Acrobat Reader’ program must be installed on your computer in at least version 5.0 and can then be printed out on any printer with a clean typeface in colour or black and white on A4 paper. If you do not have the ‘Acrobat Reader’ programme, you can download it here free of charge.

However, we recommend that you save the print@home ticket digitally on your smartphone and present it at the event, as this protects our environment.

Please make sure to save ALL tickets in your Wallet app! Additional software may be required on Android OS. Download for example: PassWallet or PassAndroid 

Order successful

You will get a confirmation email within 5 minutes after your purchase. If not, please contact our Customer Service kundenservice@wien-ticket-service.at or call +43 1 58885-111 (daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m). We check if your order has been received. Please tell us the event name, your name and your contact information.

A confirmation will be sent to you by email immediately after you have purchased your ticket. This can take up to 5 minutes. Please be patient. If you have not received a confirmation, please contact: kundenservice@wien-ticket-service.at or call +43 1 58885-111.

In addition, you can find your orders in the online shop at any time and reprint them if necessary.

Book one of our subscription packages and you save 20 % compared to the individual ticket price.

THEATER AN DER WIEN

The Theater an der Wien has level access, two wheelchair spaces (on the ground floor), a lift to the wardrobe and a wheelchair-accessible WC.

Please book wheelchair places (one accompanying person possible) ideally up to one week before the performance by telephone +43 1 58885-111 or in person at our box office (Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sundays and public holidays on performance days 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.) so that we can prepare your stay with us. We are also happy to accommodate last-minute requests up to the day of the performance itself.

Price: EUR 10,- (wheelchair space) or 50% reduction for the accompanying person

Visitors with a disability identity card will receive a 50% discount at the Theater an der Wien until one week before the respective performance exclusively at the box office upon presentation of the disability identity card.

KAMMEROPER

The Kammeroper does not have a wheelchair space in the 23/24 season. From the 24/25 season, there will be a wheelchair space and a wheelchair-accessible WC in the Kammeroper.

THEATER AN DER WIEN

There is standing room at the Theater an der Wien. These are located on the left & right side in the 3rd tier. Standing places can be booked online 1 week before the performance and at the evening box office on the day of the performance.

KAMMEROPER

There is no standing room in the Kammeroper.

Junior-Ticket

Children or young people (up to their 16th birthday) receive a 35% discount on the ticket price when attending one of MusikTheater an der Wien's own productions in the Theater an der Wien (categories A-E) and in the Kammeroper (categories A-D). Available at all VBW box offices, online and by telephone (+43 1 58885-111).

EDUTICKET

THEATER AN DER WIEN: Opera / Concert: EUR 20,-
KAMMEROPER: Opera / Concert: EUR 12,-

Reduced tickets for schoolchildren, students, apprentices, military and civilian servants can be booked online from three weeks before the respective performance date: theater-wien.at/eduticket Registration is required for booking. After registration, the discount is automatically offered at the time of purchase. Upon presentation of a valid ID, the reduced tickets can also be purchased at the evening box office in the Theater an der Wien or in the Kammeroper. The reduction is valid until the age of 27.

Disability

Visitors with a disability identity card will receive a 50% discount at the Theater an der Wien until one week before the respective performance exclusively at the box office upon presentation of the disability identity card.

Please note that the Kammeroper has no lift.

Ö1 club

Ö1 Club members receive a 10% discount on a maximum of two tickets per performance. The discount applies to all in-house productions. No additional discount is available for subscriptions. The Ö1 Club discount is available upon presentation of the Club Card or indication of the membership number.

Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur

The Theater an der Wien and the Kammeroper will allocate remaining tickets for all in-house productions to holders of the Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur pass (max. 1 ticket per "Kulturpass"-holder) from a quarter of an hour before the performance begins, subject to availability. Applicants are on an equal footing with pupils and students with regard to the allocation modalities and stand in the same queue with them.

Pre-booking is not possible. Places will be allocated according to availability. The indication "from 15 minutes before the start of the performance" indicates the earliest possible allocation time, as in the case of sold-out performances a later allocation time is possible if interested parties wish to wait for tickets from reservations that have not yet been redeemed (and are not yet paid for).
